The Green Mile (1999) - in 4K UHD for the first time!
I saw one of the best films ever made, The Green Mile, for the first time this past week (to my defense I was 8 years old when it released) and I can’t recommend it enough! I definitely liked it more than Shawshank Redemption, another great Stephen King adaptation, as I felt it had more of a bigger impact and better story. The narrative has such an intriguing premise and characters that are brought to life by terrific acting! The 3 hours flew by, the sci fi story felt as if it was grounded in realism, and the conclusion held a giant emotional weight that got rare tears from me. I got to see it for the first time in 4K and the quality looks like it was shot within the past few years; it’s a great transfer that looks better than the blu ray stills I’ve compared it to. Top 3-5 movie of all time for me!
The Green Mile has never looked as stunning as it does in 4K UHD and it releases tomorrow!
