Fall Out Boy - So Much (for) Stardust Tour
Fall Out Boy performed at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion Tuesday, June 27th and put on a fantastic energetic show! When you think of a “rock show” you will most likely think of all the things Fall Out Boy incorporated throughout their entire performance; fireworks, massive smoke haze, bubbles, changing sets, inflatables, beach balls being thrown out, and fire! I don’t think they missed one element that historically makes up rock shows. Let’s take a look at the setlist, which includes songs from their latest album, “So Much (for) Stardust”, as well as beloved songs from their massive catalog (and even covers from legends like Journey, Ozzy Osbourne, and a-ha!).
- Love From the Other Side

- Uma Thurman
- A Little Less Sixteen Candles, a Little More "Touch Me"

Six songs from “So Much (for) Stardust” were performed, out-performing any other album. However, as I Uber drove another concert patron home after the concert, she did comment how odd it was that they did not play the titular track from the album, “So Much (for) Stardust” or play more songs from that album on this tour. However, I was happy with the setlist choices; the newer songs did not overstay their welcome, as many fans sang along with numerous previous singles. Overall, Fall Out Boy designed a setlist with their core fans in mind. Favorites that the crowd responded well to are to no one’s surprise their top singles, such as “Sugar, We’re Going Down” (which had the whole audience belting the first verse), “My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark…”, “Thnks fr the Mmrs”, and “Centuries”.
The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion is a covered outdoor amphitheater and even at 9 PM, the Texas humidity was grueling. Nonetheless, the show was entertaining despite the natural weather conditions.
